VOLUNTEER NEWS
Would you like to get involved with a LEADER+ funded project?
Do you have a few hours every once in a while to spare?
Could you put your spare time to use for the good of your local area?
If you want to volunteer, but don’t want to be cooped up inside a shop waiting for the next customer to come along, then why not have a look at the many projects Herefordshire Rivers is funding, and see which ones take your fancy.
In general, there are no lower or upper age limits, although there is a need for general all-round good health. A keen interest is most important, and transportation would often be an advantage, but car-sharing or minibus operations are in place for many of these projects. Please bear in mind that volunteering needs vary from project to project.
Although all of our projects have community involvement as an element of high importance, not all of them have the need for active volunteering. For more information on each individual project, and the contact details for the project leads, please click on this link to the All Projects Listed page.
Below is a list of the projects that utilise volunteers. This list is not complete, as we have new projects beginning often, but it will be updated as frequently as required.
- Herefordshire Butterfly Conservation
- Landscape Origins of the Wye Valley
- Learning from our Heritage
- Ponds Project
- Recording Herefordshire’s Historic Landscape
